Last Minute Entries to Cameron's BIG Weekend Camp
posted: 5 January 2010 Entries are still open for Cameron Brown’s BIG Weekend Camp. This will be held in Taupo on the NZ Ironman course from Friday 29 January – Sunday 31 January, 2010. Get your entry in NOW to avoid disappointment.
Cameron will be joined on Camp with his manager Mark Watson, who’s also one of his life-long training partners. Mark will share many stories about Cameron and their training sessions, and together they will talk about the specifics of training and racing. Mark is also a triathlon coach in the NZ High Performance Programme and a sports commentator.
Cameron and Mark are both extremely passionate about triathlon, especially Ironman, so it’s only natural that they invite you to join them for a weekend where you can talk and train triathlon!
This weekend truly caters for ALL abilities and you don’t need to be doing the Ironman to take part. Some of the athletes might have a goal of doing Ironman one or two years down the track; many may have completed an Ironman in the past and want to improve further; others will be first-time Ironman competitors and want some added motivation in those last vital weeks of training and have many questions they want answered before standing on the start line; and there are those competing in the shorter distance triathlons who just want to improve as an athlete.
Of those on Camp in previous years who started Ironman NZ, finish times were between 9˝ and 16 ˝ hours. And I can assure you those who finished in 16 hours got just as much out of Camp as those who finished in 9! It’s also not unusual to have Camp participants from previous years return - we have several signed up already, or participants from overseas - Canada, England and Australia to date!
So if you are interested, click here ‘Cameron’s Training Camp’, have a read of the info and feedback from those who took part in previous years, and fill out the Registration Form. More specific information will be forwarded to you, and if you’re still keen you can forward your deposit, which will secure your place. For safety reasons numbers are strictly limited.
