Countdown to Hawaii Ironman World Champs

Well the count down is now on until race day on Saturday (Sunday New Zealand time). The build up has gone well and I had some great training mates in Noosa which made the training lots of fun. I've been getting used to the Kona heat and enjoying my taper.
We had a NZ team meeting yesterday and it was great to see all the NZ athletes ready and rearing to go. There are lots of Kiwis debuting here on Saturday, including NZIM Event Director Jane Patterson, and there are those who have a number of Hawaii IM World Champs under their belt. For me it will be my 10th Hawaii IM in as many years and l'm looking for my best result yet.
The race starts at 6:45am Saturday (5:45am Sunday NZ time). You can keep up to date with what's happening by following the live feeds on www.ironman.com
